Health awareness has grown significantly among people these days, but this has also led to a rise in the trend of selling processed foods under the guise of being "healthy." There are many products on the market that we perceive as healthy, yet they often contain hidden sugar, salt, preservatives, and palm oil.

We often include these items in our daily diet thinking they are beneficial, but they end up harming our health rather than helping it. Let’s look at some items likely found in your kitchen that you might consider healthy, but are actually unhealthy.
**Flavored Yogurt**
While plain yogurt is considered highly beneficial for digestion, flavored yogurt is not. Sugar and artificial flavors are added to provide taste. Consuming it can lead to weight gain and rapid spikes in blood sugar levels. Moreover, it offers no significant benefits for gut health.
**Vegetable Chips**
People often buy vegetable chips, viewing them as a healthier alternative to potato chips. Options like ragi chips are also available, but these too are deep-fried; cooking them at very high temperatures destroys their nutritional value. Additionally, they contain high levels of salt and saturated fat.
**Energy Bars**
People consume energy bars as a healthy snack. While they often claim to be made from dried fruits and oats, ingredients like corn syrup, sugar, vegetable oil, and various preservatives are used to bind them and enhance their flavor. Consequently, energy bars are not as beneficial as you might think.
**Packaged Juice**
Companies selling packaged juice often claim their products are "100% natural" or contain "no added sugar," yet these juices still cannot compare to fresh fruit. During the packaging process, all the fiber is stripped from the fruit, leaving behind only fructose. This can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar levels. Therefore, even fruit juices labeled "100% natural" are not beneficial for your health.
Multigrain Bread
Multigrain bread is widely promoted as a healthy alternative to white bread; however, the "multigrain" label does not necessarily mean it is made from whole wheat. Most such breads are made from refined flour (maida) with just a few seeds or other grains added to the mix. Coloring agents are often used to give the bread a brown hue, which is harmful to health.
