Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased effective September 1. Oil marketing companies have announced a hike of up to ₹11.50 in the price of the 19-kg commercial gas cylinder. This price revision at the start of the month will raise operating costs for businesses that rely on commercial LPG.

Typically, oil marketing companies review gas cylinder prices and release new rates on the first day of every month.

What are the rates in different cities?
According to the new rates, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will now be ₹2,747.50, up from ₹2,738. In Chennai, the price has risen from ₹2,906 to ₹2,916.50. Additionally, the price in Mumbai has increased by ₹9.50 to ₹2,701 per cylinder.

However, the steepest hike occurred in Kolkata, where the price for September rose by ₹11.50 to ₹2,884 per cylinder. Notably, in cities like Thiruvananthapuram and Bengaluru, the price of the 19-kg LPG cylinder increased by ₹10, reaching ₹2,784 and ₹2,831, respectively.

Prices exceeding ₹3,000 here
In cities like Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad, LPG prices have risen by ₹11 to ₹2,919 and ₹2,996, respectively. Significantly, despite the ₹11 hike in September, the price in Patna remains above the ₹3,000 mark, standing at ₹3,029 per cylinder. Consequently, LPG is most expensive in Patna.

This price hike will primarily impact restaurants, hotels, *dhabas* (roadside eateries), sweet shops, and other businesses that utilize commercial LPG cylinders for cooking and other operations.

What are the prices in other cities?

 LPG prices in cities such as Gurugram, Noida, Chandigarh, and Lucknow have risen by ₹9.50, reaching ₹2,764.50, ₹2,747.50, and ₹2,769.50 per cylinder, respectively. Finally, in Jaipur, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder has increased by ₹10.50 to ₹2,776.

This price hike follows reductions in the price of 19 kg LPG cylinders by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in July and August 2026. Fluctuations in international crude oil prices are a key factor considered by OMCs when determining LPG prices. In the global market, US WTI and Brent crude oil prices are currently hovering above $86 per barrel and around $91 per barrel, respectively. Crude oil prices saw an increase of 8–9% during the month of August.
