Khatipura to Vaishno Devi Katra Special Train: To facilitate pilgrims during the festive season and the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage period, North Western Railway has taken a significant step. North Western Railway has submitted a proposal to the Railway Board to operate a weekly special train between Khatipura (Jaipur) and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. This special train will run via Reengus, Rewari, Delhi, Ambala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, and Jammu Tawi. Details regarding the timetable, route, and stoppages for this train—proposed for a total of 6 trips between October 26 and November 30, 2026—can be found here.

The proposal for this special train has been sent to the Railway Board for approval. Once approved, bookings will open on the IRCTC portal. Departing from Khatipura (Jaipur), the train will travel via Reengus and Delhi, heading directly toward Jammu & Kashmir. In addition to passengers traveling from Khatipura (Jaipur) toward Katra via Delhi and Punjab, the train will also benefit pilgrims traveling to Reengus station for visits to Khatu Shyam Ji.

Operational Period and Trips
The train will operate from Khatipura between October 26, 2026, and November 30, 2026. From Katra, it will operate between October 27, 2026, and December 1, 2026. In both directions, the train will complete a total of 6 trips on a weekly basis. 

Days of Operation: Every Monday from Khatipura to Katra, and every Tuesday from Katra to Khatipura.
