Sunny Deol made his first public appearance on Tuesday since the passing of his father, the late actor Dharmendra. Sunny Deol was present at the teaser launch of his upcoming film Border 2 with the entire team. Tears were visible in his eyes during the event. Despite the pain of losing his father, Sunny Paaji was seen fulfilling his professional commitments.

At the Border 2 teaser launch, the entire star cast made a unique entrance. They arrived at the event driving a jeep. Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, who also have important roles in the film, were with him. A special setup was created for the entire team. After getting out of the jeep, the team also posed with guns in their hands. When Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty reached the stage, Ahan Shetty touched Sunny Paaji's feet.

Dharmendra had been ill for a long time.
Dharmendra had been unwell for a long time. Due to increasing breathing difficulties, he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on November 10, 2025. His condition worsened during treatment, and doctors placed him on ventilator support. Later, he was discharged from the hospital and taken home, where his treatment continued under the supervision of his family and a medical team. Some improvement was seen in his health, but he breathed his last on November 24 at the age of 89. Dharmendra's last film, 'Ekkiis', is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25.
