What is Brahmasthan?
Simply put, the exact center of your house is called the 'Brahmasthan'. In olden times, the large courtyard in the middle of houses was the Brahmasthan. What happens if you place heavy objects in the Brahmasthan?
Often, due to a lack of space, people place heavy sofas, wardrobes, or junk in the central part of the house. Vastu says that doing so disrupts the balance of the house:

Stagnation of energy: The Brahmasthan is the place from where positive energy flows throughout the house. If you place heavy objects there, the flow of energy is blocked, leading to an increase in negativity in the house.

Stress and illnesses: The Brahmasthan is directly related to the health of the head of the household and family members. Placing heavy objects here increases mental stress, and family members often fall ill.

Financial difficulties: When the flow of energy is not proper, there is no prosperity in the house. Unnecessary expenses increase, and one may face financial difficulties.

What to keep and what not to keep here?
What not to keep: Do not keep heavy furniture, dustbins, brooms, mops, or any junk here. Building stairs or a toilet here is also considered a major Vastu defect.

What to keep: Keep this area as open and airy as possible. In ancient times, a Tulsi plant (holy basil) was planted here, which is still considered the most auspicious. If a courtyard is not possible, at least keep this area clean and empty. This Vastu Shastra principle is very simple: keep the "heart" of your home, the Brahmasthan (central area), light and uncluttered. When the center of your home is open and clean, happiness, peace, and prosperity will reside there.
