Instructions
Soak the moong dal in water for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.

Afterward, wash the dal thoroughly, drain all the water, and blend it in a mixer or blender with ginger and green chilies.

Add a little water if needed to make a thick and smooth batter. Make sure the batter is not too thin.

Now transfer the prepared moong dal batter to a large bowl.

Then add salt and turmeric powder.

Now add the finely chopped onion, tomato, bell pepper, and coriander leaves and mix well. The consistency of the batter should be slightly thicker than idli or dosa batter.

Now take a slice of bread. Spread a thick and even layer of the moong dal batter on top of it. Spread the batter on only one side of the bread slice.

Now heat a non-stick pan. Add a little oil or ghee to the pan.

Place the bread slice on the pan with the batter side facing down.

Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the batter turns light golden brown.

Now apply a little oil or ghee to the top side of the bread and flip the toast.

Cook the other side until it is crispy and golden brown.

Remove the hot moong dal toast from the pan and cut it in half to form triangles.

Serve the moong dal toast hot with coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
