Coconut Laddoos are a sweet treat that almost everyone loves. Whether during festivals or simply to satisfy a craving for something sweet, people often prepare coconut laddoos at home.
They are easy to make and, unlike many other sweets, do not require an extensive list of ingredients. If you are interested in making coconut laddoos at home, you should definitely give this recipe a try.

**Ingredients:**
Coconut Desiccated (Grated) – 2 cups (set aside a small amount for coating)
Condensed Milk – 1/2 cup (or as needed)
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Ghee (Clarified Butter) – 1 tablespoon (for roasting the coconut)
Milk – 2–3 tablespoons
For Garnish – Finely chopped almonds
**Preparation Method:**
First, take a heavy-bottomed pan or a non-stick skillet and heat one tablespoon of ghee in it. Now, add the 2 cups of desiccated coconut and roast it over a low flame for 2–3 minutes, stirring continuously.
Ensure that the coconut does not change color; the goal is simply to eliminate its moisture and heat it until it releases a pleasant, aromatic fragrance. If the flame is too high, the coconut may burn, resulting in a bitter taste.
Once the coconut begins to release a mild aroma, add the condensed milk. Keep the flame on low and mix everything thoroughly. The condensed milk serves a dual purpose—providing both sweetness and binding—so there is no need to add extra sugar separately.
Now, add the cardamom powder to the mixture. If you feel the mixture is a bit too dry and might be difficult to bind into laddoos, add 2 tablespoons of milk. Continue to cook the mixture until it begins to pull away from the sides of the pan and starts to come together as a cohesive mass.

Once the mixture is ready, transfer it to a plate. Do not let it cool down completely; wait until it is cool enough to handle with your hands, and then begin shaping the laddoos. Apply a little ghee to your hands, take a small portion of the mixture, and roll it into round laddus. You can make the laddus as small or large as you prefer.
Once the laddus are formed, roll them thoroughly in dry grated coconut. This makes the laddus look very attractive—just like the ones found in the market. Finally, press a sliced almond onto the top of each laddu.
