Semolina is an important part of the kitchen. Many delicious dishes can be prepared with its help. Medu Vada can also be made from semolina. This is a famous South Indian food dish. It is easy to make and it is ready in less time. Many times it happens that hunger starts bothering even after lunch, then this can prove to be effective. Ingredients
Semolina – 1.5 cups
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Chopped curry leaves – 1 tbsp.
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp.
Crushed black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Chopped green chilies – 2-3
Oil – as per requirement
Water – 2 cups
Salt – as per taste
Method – First of all, mix 2 cups of water, 1 tsp oil, and half a teaspoon of salt in a pan. Now, put the gas on medium flame and boil the water.
- When the water boils, add semolina to it and mix it well with the help of a big spoon. Now, cook the semolina until it absorbs the water completely.
- When the semolina is cooked, put it in a big mixing bowl and add black pepper powder, cumin seeds, curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, and lemon juice, and mix everything.
- After this, apply some oil on your hands and make them smooth. After this, take some semolina mixture and roll it and flatten it.
- After this, make a hole in the middle. Similarly, prepare semolina medu vada from the mixture. Now, put oil in a pan and heat it on a medium flame.

- When the oil is hot, put semolina medu vada in it and deep fry it on a medium flame. Fry the medu vada until it becomes golden and crispy on both the sides.
- After this, take them out in a plate. Similarly, deep fry all the medu vadas. Serve it with chutney or tomato sauce.
