Gaurav's parents always thought that their son was smart and intelligent, but when he went to a new school, he became friends with some children who were more interested in mischief than studies. In a few months, Gaurav's marks started falling, and teachers started complaining about him. Every parent wants their child to follow the right path and grow up with good values. But sometimes the children's school, locality, or group of friends is such that they start getting drawn towards bad habits. In this situation, it is most important that parents teach the child some basic things in time, so that they are not affected by bad company. Here we are telling you three such important things which, if taught to the child from childhood, he will not deviate from his path even if he lives in a wrong environment.

First habit - Understanding the difference between right and wrong-
Teach the child from childhood that there is a right and a wrong way for every work. Also, explain to them that what everyone does is not right. If their friend does something wrong, like lying, stealing, or hurting someone, then they should stay away from him. You can tell them stories as an example, in which the character who makes the right choice ends well and the one who chooses the wrong path ends badly.
Second habit - confidence and learning to say 'no' -
Often, children start adopting wrong habits under peer pressure. Teach them that saying 'no' is not a weakness, but a strength. Explain this thing again and again that if a friend asks them to do something that they do not think is right, then they should refuse clearly. For this, you can play role-play games at home, in which you show the wrong situation and ask the child what he would answer. This will strengthen both their self-defense and confidence.
Third habit - talking openly with family -
It is very important to have trust and open communication between the child and the parents. Make them feel that if they are afraid, troubled, or confused about something, they can come to you without fear. For this, spend some time every day sitting with the children and listening to their day's stories. When the child starts speaking openly, he will take your opinion before going on the wrong path.

-Keep meeting your child's friends and their families from time to time.
-Keep a little control on the use of social media and mobile, but also maintain trust.
-Keep the child busy in positive activities like sports, art, and music, so that he does not get time for bad habits.
It is not possible to keep the child completely away from bad company, but by giving the right teaching at the right time, you can save him from bad habits. Remember, the most effective way is to explain to children with love and trust, not by scolding or scaring them.
