Why saying ‘No’ to kids is important: Often, children demand their parents to buy things like toffees, candies, toys. But if parents do not do so, they start shouting, start crying, and some children even sit on the road. Parents also cannot see tears in their children's eyes and keep fulfilling their demands. If their every demand is fulfilled, they will become stubborn. It is important for parents to say 'no' to children; this brings positive changes in their personality.

Saying 'no' brings emotional maturity.
Psychiatrist Priyanka Srivastava says that every parent wants their child to be a good person and stay away from all kinds of troubles. If they start saying 'no' to the child from childhood, then their little one understands that their unnecessary demand will not be fulfilled. This makes him wise and responsible. He becomes emotionally strong. When they grow up, they don't feel bad when they hear a rejection from someone else, nor does their heart break. Today's youth, especially if they love someone and hear a 'no' from them, think of taking revenge. The habit of hearing 'no' from childhood prevents them from becoming a bad person.
The child learns patience.
Stubbornness is a very bad thing. If a person is stubborn, they harm themselves at some point in life. This stubbornness can prove to be dangerous in relationships and in a career. In such a situation, if parents say no to children, then they develop patience. They learn to wait for things and work hard to get them. This brings self-control to them. Patience brings stability in personality, and when the child grows up, he understands when and what he has to do at what time. This increases their decision-making ability.
They can handle rejection.
There are many such occasions in life when a person has to face rejection. This rejection can happen during a job interview, for proposing, for marriage, or sometimes failing in an exam also comes under the category of rejection. There are many people who cannot bear this rejection. They become negative about themselves, their mental health starts deteriorating, and they consider themselves useless. These are the same people whose parents fulfilled every demand in their childhood and never said no to them, due to which such children are unable to tolerate their rejection. On the other hand, children who are already used to hearing no do not get scared of rejection.

Children start knowing their limits.
It is important for every parent to tell their child their boundaries. This creates a healthy relationship between them, and children start respecting their parents. By saying 'no' to children, they understand that it is important to set boundaries in life. This brings discipline in them. They are not impatient to get something in the future but do planning. They make decisions within their limits, keeping in mind money, time and resources. Saying 'no' also helps children understand right and wrong.
