Parenting: If your child is in his teens and is sad, angry and irritable, then be careful..

Teen depression: When a child is between 13 and 17 years old, he is called a teenager. Many people also call it a tender age. Many times parents are unable to understand how to handle a teenage child. At this age, children start suffering from depression the most, which is called teen depression or teenage depression.

There are changes in hormones.
Psychiatrist Priyanka Srivastava says that teenage is an age in which changes are taking place in the child's body due to hormones. Girls start having periods due to puberty, boys start having heavy voices, beards, and mustaches start growing. Due to physical changes, they start having mood swings. Most parents do not even talk to them about this and inform them about these changes, whereas this is a new experience for the child. At this age, children start worrying about their looks. Pimples and unwanted hair start distancing them from people. In such a situation, children remain sad and can become victims of depression.

The pressure of studies and relationships

At this age, children are in higher classes. There is pressure to score good marks in board exams and this pressure is created by the parents themselves. At this age, many children are also in relationships. If they break up with someone, it can have a deep impact on their mind. Some children also become victims of bullying in school but they do not tell anyone about it. Due to this also, the child can be surrounded by stress.

Family can be responsible.

If the child sees his father torturing his mother at home, if his every day starts with domestic violence, then he can quickly become a victim of depression. At the same time, if someone in the house already has this disease, then also it can happen. Some children become victims of physical abuse, this also has a bad effect on their minds.

It is important to talk to the child.
Teenage children should never be scolded. Parents should sit and talk with the children lovingly so that they can tell you what is in their minds. Create such an environment at home for children in which they feel comfortable and share all their good and bad things. Children who are victims of depression are always sad and sit alone. They shout at their parents, lock themselves in their rooms, and avoid going to school and meeting friends. They stay awake all night. They do not show interest in doing anything, they start getting disappointed with life, and suddenly start crying. If such symptoms are seen in the child, then talk to them immediately or take the help of a psychiatrist.
