Nowadays lifestyle has changed a lot. With the rapidly changing things, many changes are also happening in the lives of children, which are not good for their overall development. Children's sleep is very important for their health and mental development. But many times we knowingly or unknowingly give them such things at night, which ruin their sleep.

Nowadays, children have been exposed to many things, which not only affect their overall health, but they also have to face other problems. In this sequence, parents need to take special care of some things. So let's know those 3 things which should not be given to children at all before sleeping.
Sweet or sugary things
If you give chocolate, sweets, or any sweet thing to children before they sleep, then it increases their energy level in their body. Sugar, in a way, makes children active, due to which they get in the mood to play instead of sleeping. This not only disturbs their sleep, but due to less sleep, the next day also passes irritable and tired. Also, sugar is harmful to health, especially when it is consumed at odd hours.
Mobile, TV, or tablet
Giving screen time to children before sleeping means being an enemy of their sleep. The blue light emitted from the screen keeps their brain active, which causes a lot of difficulty in sleeping. If the child sleeps while watching a mobile or TV, then his brain is not able to relax completely. This spoils the quality of sleep, and the child is not able to sleep deeply.
Caffeine-containing things
Many times we think what is the harm in giving a little tea or a cold drink, but the caffeine present in it makes children very active. Caffeine does not allow their body to rest and overstimulates the brain. Due to this, sleep comes late or breaks are repeated.
So what should be done?
Give light and healthy food to children before sleeping, like khichdi, milk or any simple roti-sabzi. It is better to engage them in relaxing activities like telling stories or playing soft music just before bedtime. This helps them relax naturally and sleep well.
