Several varieties of this South Indian dish are famous, and one of them is onion dosa. Children eat it with great relish. It's a fantastic option for breakfast. Ingredients

Semolina (Sooji/Rava) - 1 cup
Finely chopped onions - 3
Chopped ginger - 1/2 piece
Rice flour - 1 cup
Roasted cashews - 3 tsp
Chopped green chilies - 3
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste

Method

- First, mix the semolina and rice flour in a deep-bottomed bowl. Then add a little water to the mixture and mix well.

- Then add asafoetida, cumin seeds, and salt to taste and mix well. Cover the bowl and keep it in a warm place for 2-3 hours.

- In the meantime, finely chop the onions. Then chop the green chilies, ginger, and cashews.

- After the stipulated time, take the batter and add all the chopped ingredients except the onions and mix well.

- Then add a little water at a time to make a thin batter. After that, heat a non-stick pan/griddle over medium heat.

- Once the pan is hot, pour a little oil on it and spread it all around. Now take a ladleful of the dosa batter and pour it in the center of the pan, spreading it in a circular motion to make a dosa.

- After cooking the dosa for a short time, sprinkle finely chopped onions and green chilies on top. Then, gently press the onions onto the dosa with a spoon and cook for 2-3 minutes.

- Next, drizzle a little oil around the edges and sauté. After a while, flip the dosa. Cook until it turns golden brown.

- Then, fold it in half and transfer it to a plate. Prepare all the onion dosas in the same way.
