Oats Recipe: Oats is a dish that is mostly consumed by those who take more care of their health. It is a very healthy dish. Especially in the morning, people find the best option to prepare an oatmeal bowl and consume it.
If you also like oats, but you are bored of eating boring oats, then here we are going to tell you about two such dishes, which are made from oats only. You can easily prepare both of these things for breakfast. Making them is also very easy.

1. Ingredients for making Oats Upma
Oats – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Onion – 1
Green chilli – 1
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 6-7
Green vegetables (peas, carrots) – 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Oil – 1 tbsp
Green coriander
Method
Now let’s know how to make Oats Upma. For that, first of all, roast the oats lightly. After roasting, its taste also becomes much more. After roasting the oats, heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves to it.
When the cumin seeds are roasted, add finely chopped onion and green chilli to the pan. After roasting the onion, add the vegetables to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. When the vegetables are cooked, add water and salt to the pan and let it boil. When it boils, add roasted oats to it. Now cover it and keep it for 5-7 minutes, so that the water dries up. When the water in the pan dries up, finally add coriander leaves to it and serve.
2. Ingredients to make Oats Idli
Oats – 1 cup
Semolina (Rava) – 1/2 cup
Curd – 1 cup
Water – as required
Salt – as per taste
Eno/Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Green chilli – 1
Carrot – 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp.
Oil – a little
Method
Now let’s know how to make this special idli. First, dry roast the oats and grind them in a mixer. Now mix oats powder, semolina, and curd in a bowl. During this, keep in mind the quantity. Prepare the solution by mixing a little water. This solution should not be too thin or too thick.

After the solution is ready, add salt, green chilli, carrot, and coriander to it. The carrots should be grated; otherwise, they will spoil the taste. Now keep it aside for some time. After 20 minutes, add Eno to it, and after greasing the idli mould with oil, pour the mixture in the mould. Now close it and keep it in the steamer for at least 15 minutes. Check once by inserting a knife in the middle. If it is ready, take it out and serve with chutney and sambar.
