Ingredients

1 cup wheat flour

1/2 teaspoon carom seeds

1/2 teaspoon asafoetida

1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/4 teaspoon garam masala

Salt to taste

Oil for frying

Recipe

- Take wheat flour in a large bowl. Add carom seeds, asafoetida, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt and mix well.

- Now add water little by little to this mixture and knead a hard dough. The dough should neither be too hard nor too soft. Cover it and keep it for 15-20 minutes.

- Make small balls of dough. Roll each ball with a rolling pin and make a round puri. The puri should not be rolled too thin or too thick.

- Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, fry the puris one by one on low flame till they turn golden.

- Serve the garam masala puri with curd, potato curry or chutney of your choice.
