Lucknow is known not only for its Nawabi style, but also for its distinctive cuisine. Many Lucknowi dishes are famous throughout India. One of these is Lucknowi Dum Aloo. It's a popular choice. It enhances the flavor of your meal. You can enjoy it whenever you want. Additionally, if you have unexpected guests at home and want to give them a special treat, you can try this. It uses paneer, potatoes, and a variety of spices. This recipe is considered a staple at weddings. It can be served with naan, roti, or paratha. Anyone who tastes it once will never forget it and will always look for another opportunity to eat it.

Ingredients
Potatoes – 1/2 kg
Grated potatoes – 1 cup
Grated cheese – 1 cup
Onion puree – 2 cups
Tomato puree – 2-3 cups
Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1 teaspoon
Kasuri methi – 1.5 teaspoons
Cream – 1 tablespoon
Butter – 1 tablespoon
Green coriander leaves – 3 tablespoons
Desi ghee – 4 tablespoons
Salt – to taste
Recipe
First, add ghee to a pan and heat it over medium heat. Once the ghee has melted, add garam masala, onion puree, and a little salt and cook.
After cooking the gravy for a while, set it aside along with the pan. Now, take another pan and heat it, adding a little ghee.
After the ghee has melted, add tomato puree and a little salt and cook it. Now take the potatoes and peel them one by one.
- Then, using a spoon or a sharp object, hollow out the top of the potato so that the center is completely removed.
- Then, put ghee in a pan, add the hollowed-out potatoes, and deep-fry them. Then, remove the potatoes to a plate and set them aside.
- Now, take grated potatoes and paneer and mash them together. Then, fill the empty spaces in the deep-fried potatoes.

- Now, put the onion and tomato gravy in a pan and cook it until the oil starts separating.
- Then, add red chili powder, kasuri methi, garam masala, and salt to taste to the gravy.
- Then, add cream and butter to the gravy, mix well, and let it cook for a few more minutes.
- Then, add the potatoes with the filling and cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes. After that, turn off the gas. Make sure the potatoes are cooked thoroughly.
