Dark spots, pigmentation, or uneven skin tone have become a common problem these days. These problems are caused by pollution, sun exposure, hormonal changes, or improper skincare. Many products on the market claim to eliminate them (Dark Spots Remedy), but they are often expensive and may contain harsh chemicals.

In such cases, natural and home remedies can prove to be a safe and effective alternative. One such remedy is a toner made from rice water (Rice Water for Korean Glass Skin). It not only helps reduce dark spots but also makes the skin soft and radiant. Let's learn how to make this special toner.
Why is rice water beneficial for the skin?
Antioxidant properties - It contains antioxidants like ferulic acid and allantoin, which protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. This helps prevent dark spots and wrinkles.
Reduces pigmentation - The inositol present in rice water helps repair skin cells and lighten pigmentation. It can gradually reduce dark spots.
Gentle cleansing - It helps cleanse the skin of excess oil, dirt, and makeup without stripping the skin of its natural moisture.
Skin tightening - It is believed to help tighten skin pores and give it firmness.
Soothing effect - It can help soothe skin irritation, redness, or inflammation.
How to make rice water toner at home?
Method 1 - Fermented Rice Water
Take half a cup of plain white rice. Wash them thoroughly with water to remove any dirt.
Put the washed rice in a clean container and soak it in two cups of drinking water.
Let it soak for 30 minutes, then gently mash the rice to release the starch into the water.
Strain this water into a separate clean glass bottle or jar. Leave the lid of this jar loosely closed and keep it at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours. This will initiate the natural fermentation process.
Once you notice a slightly sour smell, refrigerate it. It will last for 1 week.
Method 2 - Fresh Rice Water
Wash the rice thoroughly.
In a pot, combine one cup of rice and two cups of water and boil until the rice is cooked.
Remove the rice and let the remaining thick, starchy water cool down. Strain it and pour it into a bottle. It can be stored in the refrigerator and used for 4-5 days.
