Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his upcoming film, *Bhoot Bangla*. Meanwhile, audiences are also highly excited about his role in *Golmaal 5*. However, while Ajay Devgn plays the lead in this film, Akshay appears in a supporting role. Now, Akshay has broken his silence on the question of whether playing a supporting role in a film led by Ajay Devgn causes him any insecurity.

Playing an Entertaining Character in *Golmaal 5*
Rohit Shetty recently announced that filming for the highly anticipated fifth installment of the *Golmaal* franchise has finally begun. Joining the core cast—comprising Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade—is Sharman Joshi, who is making a comeback to the franchise after 20 years. However, the real surprise is Akshay Kumar. In the *Golmaal 5* announcement video, he can be seen sporting a bald look, a visual that has instantly grabbed the attention of fans.
Breaking Silence on Ajay's Comment
Following *Singham Again*—which featured a memorable cameo by Akshay in his *Sooryavanshi* avatar—these two superstars are now set to appear together once again in *Golmaal 5*. In an exclusive interaction with the media, Akshay shared some interesting insights regarding his involvement in *Golmaal 5*. Responding to Ajay's witty remark that "no one ever leaves the franchise," Akshay said, "But isn't that a good thing? It’s wonderful that whenever a franchise is being created, they specifically want *me*."
Will Akshay Play the Villain in *Golmaal*?
Although some reports suggest that Akshay might be playing the villain in this comedy film, not many details regarding his role have surfaced yet. However, he did confirm to us that he is not playing the lead role in the movie. Akshay stated, "I am happy that they felt I was good enough to be a part of *Golmaal*. Ajay is the main hero. I am not playing the lead role." "But what is wrong with that? I view a film simply as a film, and I never dwell on what exactly I am doing in it."

Akshay further added, "My role in *Golmaal* is excellent, but Ajay remains the hero. I harbor no insecurities whatsoever; there is absolutely no need for them." For those unaware, Akshay and Ajay have worked together in films such as *Suhaag*, *Khakee*, and *Insan*—in addition to Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe.
Akshay Kumar will next be seen in the film *Bhooth Bangla*, which features a stellar cast including Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani.
