Ganesh Chaturthi Bhog: Ganesh ji is called Vighnaharta, so this festival of Ganesh Utsav is a symbol of removing all obstacles and wishing happiness and prosperity. This year, the Ganpati festival will start from 27 August, and it will end on 6 September 2025 with the immersion of Ganpati on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.

These ten days of Ganpati Puja are very special for everyone. On this occasion, devotees of Bappa install the idol of Ganpati Bappa in their homes, temples, and public pandals and worship him with rituals for ten days.

Along with worship, people also offer Bappa his favorite things. Due to this, we are going to tell you here about a dish that is very dear to Lord Ganesha. We are talking about rice kheer, which you can easily prepare at home.

Ingredients for making kheer
Full cream milk – 1 liter
Rice – 1/4 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Saffron threads – 6-7
Cashews – 6-8
Almonds – 6-8
Raisins – 1 tablespoon
Ghee – 1 teaspoon (for roasting dry fruits)
Method
To prepare good kheer, it is necessary to prepare the rice properly first. First of all, wash the rice thoroughly and soak it for 20-30 minutes. After twenty minutes, filter it well and remove its dirt.
While the rice is soaking, you can roast the dry fruits. For this, put a little ghee in a pan, add dry fruits to it, and fry them lightly. After roasting well, take it out and keep it on a plate.

Now it is time to boil the milk. So, put the milk to boil in a heavy-bottomed pan or pot. When the milk boils, add the soaked rice to it and let it cook. After adding the rice, keep stirring it continuously so that it does not stick to the bottom. Cook the rice for 30 minutes, until it is melted.

Now add sugar to it and mix well. After the sugar is added, add cardamom powder and saffron threads to the pan. When everything is mixed, finally add roasted cashews to it. Your rice kheer is ready. After it cools down, offer it to Bappa.
