Motichoor Laddu Recipe: If we name the most liked sweet on festivals and special occasions, then Motichoor Laddu will definitely come in it. You must have bought these laddus many times from the confectionery shop, but if you make them at home, then the taste will be even more different. These laddus prepared at home with pure ghee and in a clean place will be so tasty that even the confectioners will be left behind. So let's know the easy recipe for making Motichoor Laddu.

Ingredients required to make Motichoor Laddu
Gram flour – 120 grams
Water – ¾ cup (for making gram flour batter)
Sugar – 1.75 cups
Water – 1.25 cups (for making syrup)
Orange food colour – 1 pinch
Liquid glucose – 1 tablespoon (for shine and texture, optional)
Melon seeds – 1 tablespoon
Ghee or refined oil for frying
Method of preparation
Prepare the gram flour batter – First of all, prepare a smooth batter by adding ¾ cup of water and a pinch of orange food colour to the gram flour. Make sure that the batter is neither too thick nor too thin.
Prepare the boondi – Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Now, with the help of a jhara (perforated spoon), slowly pour the batter into the hot oil. Small round boondi grains will start forming. Fry them lightly and take them out. Make sure that the boondi does not become crispy.
Make syrup- Prepare syrup by adding 1.75 cups of sugar and 1.25 cups of water in another vessel. Cook it till it becomes a single string syrup. If you want, add 1 teaspoon of liquid glucose to it, which will make the laddus shiny and perfect.
Mix boondi and syrup- Now add freshly made boondi to the hot syrup and mix well. Cover and leave it for 5–7 minutes so that the boondi absorbs the syrup well.
Make laddus- Now add melon seeds to it and let it cool slightly. When the mixture is lukewarm, apply a little ghee on your hands and make small round shaped laddus.
Storage tip- You can store these laddus in an airtight container for 10 days. Neither their taste nor the aroma will spoil.
