How to Make Tasty Dishes From Green Peas: As winter arrives, the market is flooded with fresh green peas. During this season, peas are not only delicious but also considered very beneficial for health. In the cold weather, peas are easily available at very affordable prices, which is why traditional and new dishes made with them are frequently prepared in homes.

Green peas are rich in fiber, protein, vitamin C, and iron, which help boost immunity and keep the body warm. This is why vegetable dishes, parathas, and snacks made with peas become a favorite during the winter months.

If you also want to try some delicious and easy recipes this winter, here we are sharing two simple recipes for amazing dishes made with peas, which you can prepare quickly at home, and their taste will be enhanced even further when enjoyed with tea.

Pea Kachori

To make pea kachori, first lightly boil the fresh green peas and grind them coarsely. Heat some oil in a pan and sauté fennel seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, and green chilies until fragrant. Now add the ground peas and sauté on medium heat until the water dries up. Add salt, coriander powder, garam masala, and dry mango powder (amchur) and mix well. Let the mixture cool down.

On the other hand, knead a firm dough with all-purpose flour, salt, and a little oil. Make small balls from the dough, fill them with the pea mixture, and lightly roll them out. Now fry the kachoris on low heat until golden brown and crispy. Hot pea kachoris taste delicious with green chutney or tamarind chutney and a cup of tea.

Pea Cutlets

To make pea cutlets, first boil the green peas and mash them well. Add boiled and mashed potatoes, finely chopped green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, breadcrumbs, salt, and mild spices like red chili powder and garam masala, and mix well. The mixture should not be too wet or too dry.

Now, grease your hands with a little oil and shape the mixture into medium-sized cutlets or patties. Heat some oil in a pan and shallow fry the cutlets. Cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Serve the crispy-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside pea cutlets with tomato sauce or green chutney for a tea-time snack that everyone will love.
