Ingredients required to make Creamy Mushroom:
Fresh mushrooms – 200 grams (cut into slices)
Butter – 2 tablespoons
Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
Garlic – 4-5 cloves (finely chopped)
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Cream (fresh cream or Amul cream) – 100 ml
Milk – 1/2 cup
Black pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Mixed herbs (oregano, thyme, etc.) – 1 teaspoon
Salt – according to taste
Cheese (optional) – a little for grating on top
Coriander leaves or parsley – for garnish.
Method of preparation:
1. Preparation of mushrooms:
First of all, wash the mushrooms thoroughly and cut them into slices. Keep in mind that you do not soak the mushrooms in water for a long time, because they already absorb water and become wet while cooking.
2. Fry in butter and oil:
Now heat butter and olive oil in a pan. First, add chopped garlic and fry till it becomes light golden. Then add the onion and cook till it becomes translucent.
3. Add mushrooms:
Now add chopped mushrooms and fry on medium flame for 5-7 minutes till they become light brown and all the water dries up.
4. Prepare the creamy base:
Now add milk to it and cook for 1 minute. After this, add fresh cream and mix well. Also, add salt, black pepper, and mixed herbs to it.
5. Let it thicken:
Now cook this mixture on a low flame for 3-4 minutes till the gravy becomes a little thick. If you want, you can also add some cheese on top, which will enhance its taste even more.
6. Garnish and serve:
Garnish the prepared creamy mushroom with green coriander or parsley and serve hot.
