Whenever we talk about street food, the name of Poha comes to mind, which is quite popular. However, it is also made for breakfast in homes. Corn is added to it to make it tasty as well as healthy. In such a situation, corn poha is a great choice for breakfast. Children also like it a lot, and this dish can also be kept in their tiffin. Corn is rich in fiber. Poha is also very light in terms of digestion. This is the reason why corn poha is a hit as breakfast and fits on every scale. It is very simple to make, and this dish, full of taste, is also ready in minutes. If you want to eat something light for breakfast, then you can make corn poha. Ingredients
Boiled corn – 1/2 cup
Poha – 2 cups
Onion – 1
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Mustard – 1 tsp
Green chilli – 2
Chopped coriander – 2 tbsp
Milk – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Lemon juice – 2 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt – according to taste
For garnishing
Tomato finely chopped – 1
Onion finely chopped – 1/2
Sev – 1/4 cup
Recipe
- First of all, clean the poha and wash and strain it. After this, keep the poha aside.
- After this, cut onion, tomato, green chilli, and green coriander leaves into small pieces. Then put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
- When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and let them crackle. After this, add finely chopped onion and green chili and fry it till the onion becomes soft and light brown.
- When the onion becomes soft, then add boiled sweet corn to it and fry for 1-2 minutes while stirring.
- After frying the corn, add soaked poha to it, mix it well and cook for 2 minutes while stirring it.
- After this add turmeric, sugar, lemon, green coriander leaves and salt as per taste to the poha and mix it well with the help of a ladle.
- After cooking for some time, turn off the gas. Now put the corn poha in a serving bowl and garnish it with finely chopped tomatoes, onion and sev.
