1/3 cup solid jaggery (evenly chopped)
2-3 tbsp water
1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
1 pinch salt

Recipe

- Pour oil in a hot pan. Add makhana to the pan. Roast it for 4-5 minutes and keep it aside to cool.

- The cooler it gets, the crispier it will be. Add jaggery and water to the same pan. Let the jaggery melt completely on low flame.

- When bubbles start forming slowly in the jaggery mixture, it is time to check if it is caramelised or not.

- To check, add a few drops of caramel to a cup of ice water. If it turns into solid strings, turn off the flame immediately.

- Now add sesame seeds and roasted makhana to the jaggery and mix well. Cool on parchment paper for 20 minutes and then enjoy.
