Idli is a traditional dish of South India. It has become popular across the country, and everyone loves it. It is made from many ingredients and is also very nutritious. Today, we are going to tell you the recipe for Buckwheat flour idli. Are you looking for a light, healthy, and fast-friendly breakfast or snack? Then you should try this dish. It is perfect for fasting days. However, it can be enjoyed on normal days as well. It is gluten-free, easy to digest, and does not require fermentation. These soft and fluffy idlis with curd and Sama rice or potatoes will win the hearts of all the members of the house.

Ingredients
Kuttu Ka Aata – 1 cup
Sama rice or boiled potato (grated) – ½ cup
Curd – ¾ cup (slightly sour)
Rock salt – as per taste
Eno fruit salt – ½ tsp (or a pinch of baking soda)
Water – as per requirement
Ghee/oil – for greasing
Recipe
- Firstly, mix kuttu ka aata and sama rice or grated boiled potato in a bowl.
- Add curd and some water to make a thick batter.
- Add rock salt as per taste and mix well.
- Keep the batter aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Grease the idli moulds with ghee or oil.

- Just before steaming, add Eno fruit salt and mix gently.
- The batter will swell. Pour the batter into the idli moulds.
- Steam in an idli cooker or steamer on medium flame for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove carefully and serve hot with coconut chutney or fasting-friendly coriander chutney.
