In the rush of the morning, breakfast is often the biggest challenge. Yes, we are talking about multigrain chilla. It is not just a breakfast, but a treasure trove of nutrition. It is a combination of many types of grains and pulses, which makes it not only tasty but also super healthy. Come, know about this quick and amazing recipe.
Ingredients for making Multigrain Cheela
Wheat flour: 1/2 cup
Besan (gram flour): 1/4 cup
Jowar or millet flour: 1/4 cup
Finely chopped vegetables: onion, tomato, capsicum, green chilli
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
Salt: according to taste
Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Water: to make the batter
Oil or ghee: to fry the chilla
Method of making Multigrain Cheela
First of all, mix all the flours (wheat, gram flour, jowar/millet) in a large vessel.
Now add finely chopped vegetables, ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric, and red chilli powder to it.
Prepare a thick and smooth batter by adding water little by little, so that there are no lumps. Keep in mind that the batter should neither be too thin nor too thick.

Now, heat a non-stick pan and apply some oil or ghee to it.
With a tablespoon, pour the batter into the pan and spread it in a circular shape, just like you make dosa or uttapam.
Fry the cheela on medium flame till it turns golden brown on both sides.
Your delicious and nutritious multigrain cheela is ready. Serve it hot with curd, green chutney or pickle.
This cheela will not only keep your stomach full for a long time, but will also give you energy for the whole day.
It is very easy to make and you can also add any vegetable or paneer of your choice to it.
