Ingredients:

1 cup yellow moong dal

1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Salt to taste

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp oil

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1 tsp asafoetida

Method:

First of all, wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 4-5 hours.

After the lentils swell, drain the water and grind them in a mixer.

Now prepare a thick batter by adding some water to the ground lentils.

Add turmeric, salt, ginger-chilli paste, cumin, asafoetida, and coriander leaves to it and keep the batter for 10 minutes so that all the flavors mix well.

After this, heat a non-stick pan and spread some oil on it.

After the pan is heated on medium flame, spread the batter on the pan with the help of a ladle.

Cook the chilla on a low flame till it turns golden.

After one side is cooked, turn the chilla and cook it well from the other side as well.

Serve hot chilla with green chutney, tomato chutney or curd.
