Ingredients:
Bread- 8-10 slices
Base- 1 cup
Potatoes- 3-4 (medium size, boiled)
Green chilies- 2-3 (finely chopped)
Ginger- 1 inch piece (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves- 2-3 tablespoons (finely chopped)
Salt- as per taste
Red chili powder- 1 teaspoon
Garam masala- ½ teaspoon
Mango powder- ½ teaspoon
Cumin seeds- ½ teaspoon
Asafoetida- 1 pinch
Oil- for frying
Method:
First of all, boil the potatoes, peel them, and mash them well.
Now add green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, and dry mango powder to the mashed potatoes in a bowl and mix well, and keep aside.
Now take a slice of bread and apply the prepared potato mixture in its centre. Cover it with another slice of bread and press it lightly. If you want, seal the edges of the bread by pressing them with slightly wet hands so that the filling does not come out.
Take gram flour in a large bowl. Add some salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and a pinch of asafoetida to it. Now, add water slowly and mix it well. Keep in mind, the batter should not be too thin or too thick.
It should be a smooth and thick batter that easily coats the bread. Keep the batter aside for 4-5 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Now dip the prepared bread sandwiches well in the gram flour batter and coat them so that they are covered from all sides.
Fry only 2-3 pakodas at a time. Fry it till it becomes golden and crispy. Fry well on both sides.
Take out the fried bread pakoras on a kitchen tissue to drain out the extra oil.
Serve them hot with green coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
