We all know about the benefits of bottle gourd. It's very light and extremely beneficial for several ailments. Bottle gourd also helps in weight loss. Bottle gourd paratha is also full of goodness. This nutrient-rich dish is not only delicious but also very beneficial for health. Its specialty is that you can make and eat it at any time – for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Children usually make faces at the mention of bottle gourd, but if they get bottle gourd paratha, they have no complaints. They eat it with great relish. If you like it and want to make it at home, we are sharing an easy recipe. Enjoy it with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Ingredients
Bottle gourd – 1
Wheat flour – 2 cups
Onion – 1
Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Chopped fresh coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons
Oil – as needed
Salt – to taste
Method
- First, take the bottle gourd and peel it. Then, grate the bottle gourd using a grater and put it in a bowl.
- Now, finely chop the onion. Take a mixing bowl and add the grated bottle gourd and finely chopped onion to it and mix them well.
- After that, add red chili powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, and chopped fresh coriander leaves to this mixture and mix everything well.
- Now add the flour to this mixture and mix the flour well with all the ingredients. Then set the mixture aside for some time.
- Now take the paratha mixture and knead it once more. Then prepare small balls of dough. Take one ball of dough and roll it into a circular or triangular shape.

- After that, take a non-stick pan/griddle and heat it over medium heat. Pour a little oil on the griddle and spread it all around. - Once the griddle is hot, place the rolled-out paratha on it and cook. After 20 seconds, flip the paratha and apply oil to the other side with the help of a spoon.
- Cook the paratha until golden brown on both sides. Then transfer it to a plate. Similarly, prepare all the lauki parathas one by one from the remaining dough balls.
