Not only this, but this film, made with a budget of about 50 crores, has not been able to earn even 2 crores at the box office in a week. Anupam Kher is the director, actor, and producer of this film. In such a situation, Anupam Kher is disappointed with the film not being successful at the box office. He says that he has not been able to pay the actors' fees yet.

The financier backed out after the shooting started.

In a conversation with Republic, Anupam Kher expressed disappointment over 'Tanvi the Great' not being able to make a good collection at the box office. The director-producer said that Tanvi has not given any tremendous collection or anything. Cinema has become like a business over the last 10 years. We feel that if the film does not earn well, it means the film is not good. I am also a part of this business world. But when we made the budget, it was around 50 crores. There was a gentleman who said that he would give 50 percent of the budget, which is a big amount. All the preparations were done, and then, 1 month before the shoot, I was told that he would not be able to finance the film.

Money was taken from friends to make the film.

With the sudden withdrawal of the financier, Anupam had to depend on another independent financier. Regarding this, Anupam says that apart from India, I called some of my friends in the US as well. Our film had 10 co-producers. This is a kind of crowdfunding. I sent them the synopsis of the film, and they had nothing to do with the film. They are all businessmen and only work in banks or are doctors. I told them that I will return the money when the film is released. But none of them has asked for it yet.

Actors have not been paid their fees yet.
Not only this, but due to the film not being successful at the box office, Anupam Kher has not been able to pay the cast of the film yet. Referring to his friendship with the actors of the film, Anupam Kher said that the most interesting thing is that all four of my main actors decided that they would not take money from me. Arvind Swami, Jackie Shroff, Pallavi Joshi, and Boman Irani, I went to all of them and told them what happened. I said I will pay, and they said Did we ask for it?

Critics praised the film.
Talking about 'Tanvi the Great', it is the story of an autistic girl. Before its release, the film was shown in many different film festivals including Cannes, where the film was also praised. Even after its release, critics praised the film, but 'Tanvi the Great' is not able to attract viewers.
