Ingredients

Cottage cheese – 200 grams
Water Chestnut flour – 1 bowl
Tomatoes – 4-5
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 3/4 tsp
Chopped coriander – 2 tbsp
Oil – for frying
Salt – according to taste

Method – First of all, take the paneer in a bowl and mash it well with both hands. After this, add water chestnut flour and a little salt to the paneer and mix it well.

- Now add 1/4 tsp ajwain to this mixture and mix it well. After this, apply a little oil on the palms.

- Press this mixture with your palms and prepare koftas, and keep them aside on a plate. Now take tomatoes and boil them in a vessel.

- When the tomatoes boil, turn off the gas, take them out, and peel them. After this, cut the tomatoes, put them in the mixer, grind them and prepare the puree.
- Now put oil in a pan to fry the koftas and heat it on medium flame. When the oil is hot, add koftas according to the capacity of the pan and fry them.

- Fry the koftas by turning them and after they turn golden, take them out in a plate. Now take another pan and keep it on medium flame to heat.

- When the pan is hot, add half a teaspoon of carom seeds and fry them. After frying for a few seconds, add tomato puree and let it cook till it boils.

- After this, add red chili powder and salt to the puree as per taste.

- When the puree boils properly, add fried koftas to it and let it cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, then turn off the gas. Ajwaini Paneer Kofta is ready.
