Amitabh Bachchan is the superstar of Bollywood and even after crossing 80 years of age, he is active in the industry. Recently, his son and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan received the Best Actor (Jury) Award at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025. He was overjoyed with this honor received by his son. He shared a post and shared the happiness of his son's success with the fans. But in this post, he again talked about the successor.

Abhishek Bachchan received the Best Actor (Jury) Award at the recently held News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025. He received this award for the film 'I Want to Talk' released in 2024. Along with the video, Amitabh Bachchan also wrote a lovely note and called his son the true successor.
On his Instagram handle, Amitabh Bachchan shared a video, in which Abhishek is seen receiving the award and thanking everyone. Sharing the video, he wrote in the caption, 'My sons, just because they are sons, will not be my successors .. Those who will be my successors will be my sons ...' Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
With Babuji's lines, he further wrote - 'And you Abhishek are my true successors ..love you, my sons, just because they are my sons, will not be my successors .. Those who will be my successors will be my sons !!!'
One fan wrote, 'I Want to Talk is the best film of 2024.' Another wrote, 'Abhishek's brilliant performance in I Want to Talk.'
Abhishek's speech was emotional, in which he thanked Shoojit Sarkar and his co-stars. He said, 'This is my first Best Actor Award. I want to thank the esteemed jury who considered me worthy. All credit goes to Shoojit da, who is a wonderful director. I want to share this honor with my two wonderful on-screen daughters, Ahalya and Pearl, who made me look great. Thank you to all the fellow actors and filmmakers here, your work inspires me to be the best version of myself every day.'

In 'TI Want to Talk', Abhishek plays a seriously ill father who wants to reconnect with his daughter. The film is Abhishek's first collaboration with director Shoojit Sircar, who is known for films like Vicky Donor, Sardar Udham, October, and Piku. The film is based on a true story and also stars Jayant Kripalani and Ahalya Bamru in important roles.
