Gauri Vrat 2026 Date: Young women observe the five-day Gauri Vrat to seek a desired life partner. According to the Hindu calendar (Panchang), Gauri Vrat begins on the *Ekadashi* (11th day) of the *Shukla Paksha* (waxing phase of the moon) in the month of *Ashadha*. This day also marks *Devshayani Ekadashi*, when Lord Vishnu enters a state of cosmic slumber (*Yog Nidra*) and the *Chaturmas* period begins. During Gauri Vrat, Goddess Parvati is worshipped with prescribed rituals. The fast concludes on *Ashadha Purnima* (the full moon day of *Ashadha*), which coincides with *Guru Purnima*. According to the Vedic calendar, the *Ashadha Shukla Ekadashi* tithi for Gauri Vrat begins at 9:12 AM on July 24 and ends at 11:34 AM on July 25. Based on *Udaya Tithi* (the sunrise date), Gauri Vrat will commence on Saturday, July 25.
Gauri Vrat 2026 Auspicious Timings (Muhurat)
On the first day of Gauri Vrat, the *Brahma Muhurat* is from 4:16 AM to 4:57 AM. The *Abhijit Muhurat* on that day is from 12:00 PM to 12:55 PM. The auspicious *Shubh-Uttam Muhurat* in the morning is from 7:21 AM to 9:03 AM, while the *Labh-Unnati Muhurat* during the evening *Pradosh Kaal* is from 7:17 PM to 8:34 PM.
Gauri Vrat lasts for five days. During this period, the observing young women create idols of Goddess Gauri, Lord Shiva, and Lord Ganesha using sacred clay.
