Wearable device to now monitor blood flow in the brain! Learn about the features of 'Temple'..

Following the trend of smartwatches and fitness bands, Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal is introducing a wearable device designed to track changes in blood flow within the brain. The device is called 'Temple.' Pre-orders are set to begin on November 1, 2026; however, a select group of users will have the opportunity to purchase it ahead of the general public. This early-access invitation has also revealed the potential price of the device.

A user named Tharun M shared a screenshot of the 'Temple' early-access email on X (formerly Twitter). According to the email, the first batch of the device could be priced at ₹85,000—a cost that reportedly includes a lifetime subscription.
It should be noted, however, that this information comes from emails sent to a select group of users. The company has not yet officially announced the launch price, so the ₹85,000 figure should be considered an estimate for now.

The email instructs selected users to download the 'Temple' app and sign in using the same email address at which they received the invitation. The first batch will be limited in quantity, and each unit will be handcrafted upon receiving an order.

Pre-orders to begin on November 1
Pre-orders for the first batch of 'Temple' are scheduled to start on November 1, 2026. Users who received the early-access invitation will be able to place their orders via the app. As the company plans to release the device in batches, it will not be available to all customers immediately.

'Temple' may be available in a total of six colors: True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk. According to the early-access details, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk could be limited-edition color options.

What is Temple, and how does it work?
Temple is a wearable device designed to monitor the brain by tracking changes in cerebral blood flow. While typical smartwatches track metrics like heart rate, sleep, and physical activity, Temple uses optical sensors to measure fluctuations in blood flow within the brain—a technology the company refers to as "BrainFlow."

The device is worn on the side of the head, in the area between the forehead and the ear. It is attached to the skin using single-use adhesive strips called "Grips."
Temple also provides an "Entropy Score" ranging from 1 to 250. According to the company, this score is designed to reflect the physiological stress placed on the body. Factors such as sleep, exercise, stress, and caffeine intake can influence this score.
It should be noted that Temple is intended for wellness and research purposes; it is not a tool for diagnosing medical conditions and should not be used as a substitute for a professional medical diagnosis.
