When is Vishwakarma Puja in 2026? Is it on September 17 or September 18? To clear up any confusion regarding the date, one must look at the timing of *Kanya Sankranti*. Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated on the same day that *Kanya Sankranti* occurs. On this occasion, Lord Vishwakarma is worshipped with due rituals; additionally, shops, vehicles, machinery, and tools are also worshipped. This year, two auspicious *Yogas* (astrological alignments) are also forming during Vishwakarma Puja.

Vishwakarma Puja: September 17 or 18?
To determine the correct date for Vishwakarma Puja, one needs to check the *Panchang* (Hindu almanac) for the timing of *Kanya Sankranti*. *Kanya Sankranti* marks the moment the Sun enters the *Kanya* (Virgo) zodiac sign.
According to the Vedic *Panchang*, the Sun will enter the *Kanya* zodiac sign on September 17, not September 18. The Sun's transit into *Kanya* will take place at 7:58 AM on September 17. Since *Kanya Sankranti* falls on September 17, Vishwakarma Puja will also be celebrated on Thursday, September 17.
