Have you ever heard of a *laddu* that is healthy and won't cause weight gain? Yes, we are sharing a very easy recipe for 'Green Moong Dal Laddus' here.
The best part is that this recipe uses absolutely no white sugar or jaggery. These laddus are a protein powerhouse; they help control hunger and prevent weakness in the body while dieting. Let's find out how to make them.

**Ingredients required for Green Moong Laddus**
Whole green moong (green gram): 1 cup
Soft dates: 1 cup (pitted)
Almonds and walnuts: ½ cup (finely chopped)
Cardamom powder: ½ teaspoon
Desi ghee: 2 teaspoons (only for roasting)
**Method for making Green Moong Laddus**
First, take a heavy-bottomed pan and dry-roast the whole green moong on a low flame for 10–12 minutes. Turn off the heat once the moong releases a nutty aroma and its color changes slightly.
Next, transfer the roasted moong to a plate and let it cool down completely. Then, grind it in a mixer-grinder into a fine powder.
We will use dates for sweetness. Blend the pitted, soft dates in the mixer to form a thick paste. If the dates are a bit hard, soak them in hot water for 10 minutes.
Heat 2 teaspoons of ghee in the same pan. Add the chopped almonds and walnuts and roast them until they are slightly crunchy.
Now, add the ground moong dal powder to the pan and roast it along with the nuts for 1–2 minutes. Then, add the cardamom powder and the prepared date paste. Turn off the heat and mix everything thoroughly with a spoon.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, lightly grease your palms with ghee and shape the mixture into round *laddus* of your preferred size.

These *laddus* are excellent for a weight loss journey.
Green moong dal is rich in plant-based protein and fiber. Consuming it keeps you feeling full for longer, helping you avoid frequent hunger pangs and the habit of snacking on junk food. Meanwhile, dates provide an instant energy boost and satisfy sugar cravings.
