PM Kisan Yojana 24th Installment: The 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be released on October 30. This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture on October 23. Eligible farmers will receive Rs 2,000 each in their accounts. Farmers had been awaiting this installment, and the wait will finally end on October 30. This is the last installment for the calendar year 2026 and the second installment for the financial year 2027.

It is not guaranteed that the 24th installment will be credited to the accounts of all farmers; some may not receive it. The question arises: which farmers will not receive the Rs 2,000? Let’s find out.
Which farmers will not receive the funds?
Farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan Yojana should periodically verify their details to ensure that all information in their PM Kisan account is accurate and complete. Often, farmers fail to check these details, which results in the installment amount not being credited to their accounts. If your e-KYC has not been completed, you will not receive the funds. Now, how can a farmer determine whether their e-KYC has been completed? Let’s look into that as well.
To verify whether the e-KYC for an eligible farmer under the PM Kisan Yojana has been completed, you need to check your current status. Follow the steps provided below to check your status.
To view the current status under the PM Kisan Yojana, first visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in.
Once on the website, you will see options for "New Farmer Registration" and "Know Your Status" on the right-hand side. Click on "Know Your Status."
After clicking on "Know Your Status," enter your registration number and the captcha code, then click on "Get OTP."
An OTP will then be sent to your registered mobile number. You will need to enter the OTP. Proceed by entering the OTP.
Following this, a report will be displayed. If your eKYC has been completed, the report will show a green tick; if it has not been completed, it will show a red mark.
Three ways to complete PM Kisan eKYC
The following three methods are available for farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme to complete their eKYC:
(i) OTP-based eKYC (available on the PM-KISAN portal and mobile app)
(ii) Biometric-based eKYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSC) and State Service Centres (SSC))
(iii) Face authentication-based eKYC (available on the PM-KISAN mobile app)
You can complete the eKYC yourself by downloading the PM-KISAN scheme app. You can also opt for OTP-based eKYC, which is relatively simpler.
How to complete OTP-based eKYC on your own
To complete the OTP-based eKYC, a farmer must have an active mobile number linked to their Aadhaar. Follow the steps provided below:
i. Visit the PM-KISAN portal (https://pmkisan.gov.in/).
ii. Click on 'e-KYC' (located in the top-right corner of the website).
iii. Enter your Aadhaar number and submit the OTP to complete your eKYC.
How to complete PM-KISAN eKYC on your own via face authentication
This is the newest and easiest method for completing eKYC. The steps are as follows:
i. Download the 'PM-KISAN' mobile app and the 'Aadhaar Face RD' app from the Google Play Store.
ii. Open the app and log in using the mobile number registered with the PM-KISAN scheme.
iii. Go to the beneficiary status page.
iv. If the e-KYC status is "No," click on "e-KYC," then enter your Aadhaar number and provide consent to have your face scanned.
v. Once your face has been successfully scanned, the e-KYC process is complete.
