National Award-winning filmmaker Meghna Gulzar directs the film. The screenplay has been co-written by Yash Keswani, Seema Agarwal, and Meghna Gulzar. *Daayra* marks the first collaboration between Junglee Pictures and PEN Studios, while also being the third partnership between Meghna Gulzar and Junglee Pictures; the two have previously worked together on acclaimed films like *Talvar* and *Raazi*.

The much-awaited trailer is set to release on August 31. The film will hit theaters on September 18, 2026.
