Kajari Teej 2026: In the year 2026, the festival of Kajari Teej will be celebrated on Monday, August 31. According to scriptures, this day symbolizes the reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Therefore, worshipping Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati with proper rituals holds special significance on this day. Such worship is believed to ensure a husband's longevity and a happy married life, bring financial prosperity, and infuse life with positive energy.

However, the Kajari Teej puja should always be performed with deep devotion and all the necessary ritual items; doing so is believed to yield the full benefits of the worship and bestow the blessing of unbroken marital bliss. Kajari Teej 2026 Date
The *Tritiya Tithi* (third day) of the *Krishna Paksha* (waning phase of the moon) in the month of Bhadrapada will begin at 9:38 AM on Sunday, August 30. It will continue until 8:52 AM on the following day, Monday, August 31. Consequently, the Kajari Teej fast will be observed on August 31.

Kajari Teej Puja Materials
Clay idols of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva; a *chowki* (low wooden platform) to place the deities; a yellow cloth to spread on the *chowki*; banana leaves; a *kalash* (sacred pot).


Unspun cotton thread (*kachcha soot*), ghee, cotton wicks, a lamp or *aarti* thali, camphor, and incense sticks or *dhoop*. Husked coconut, betel nut, unbroken rice grains (*akshat*), *Durva* grass, colored powders (*Abir-Gulal*), *Shrifal* (sacred coconut), and sandalwood paste.
Cow's milk, *Gangajal* (holy water from the Ganges), curd, rock sugar (*mishri*), honey, *ghee*, and *Panchamrit*; additionally, seasonal fruits, sweets, and offerings (*bhog*).

Items for the *Solah Shringar* (sixteen adornments) of Goddess Parvati, such as vermilion (*sindoor*), *bindi*, bangles, *Mahavar* (red dye for feet), *kumkum*, a comb, toe rings, *mehndi* (henna), a mirror, perfume, and a saree, etc.
