In Hinduism, Holika Dahan has been considered a symbol of the victory of good over evil for centuries. On this day, everyone, along with the entire family, worships Holi Mata with rituals, and the Holika Dahan is performed at an auspicious time at night. According to Ujjain's astrologer Pandit Anand Bhardwaj, it is essential to follow some important rules before Holika Dahan. Many people ignore these rules due to a lack of knowledge, preventing them from attaining the full benefits. Therefore, this holy festival should be celebrated only after knowing the correct method and necessary rules for Holika Dahan, so that the full benefits of the puja can be reaped and happiness and prosperity can come into life.

Will Holika Dahan be performed under the shadow of Bhadra?
According to the Vedic calendar, Holika Dahan will take place on the night of March 2nd. Bhadra Kaal will begin at 5:55 pm and will continue until 4:28 am on March 3rd. According to astrologer Pandit Anand Bhardwaj, this time Bhadra is observed on earth, so it is best to perform Holika Puja during Pradosh Kaal. Charity is also considered auspicious during this time.
Be sure to follow these rules:
1. Before burning Holika, wrap a sacred thread around your head and circumambulate it 5-7 times. Offer barley or unbroken rice grains into the Holika Dahan fire. The new harvest is then roasted in the fire. People bring the roasted grains home and distribute them as prasad.
2. Wearing white, yellow, or red clothes during Holika Dahan is considered auspicious. Wearing leather or black clothing on this day can attract negative energy. Women should avoid bright or dark colors on this day. If you are also planning to burn Holika this time, keep these things in mind.
3. Immediately leaving the scene after burning Holika is not recommended. One should stay there for a while after burning Holika and circumambulate the fire. It is believed that the Holika fire has a special energy that destroys negative forces. After Holika Dahan, bringing its ashes home the next morning, applying them to the forehead, and sprinkling them in all four corners of the house is considered very auspicious. This removes Vastu defects.

04. Holika Mata is worshipped on Holika Dahan, and wishes for happiness and prosperity are made for the home. Consumption of meat and alcohol is prohibited on this day, as they can lead to financial loss and disease. Tamasic food should be completely avoided on this day.
05. To avoid negative energies on the day of Holika Dahan, women should not leave their hair open. Keeping hair open during the puja can cause negative energies to reside in the house.
