The day, which begins in the morning, is often spent rushing about until nightfall; activities like standing in the kitchen to cook or enduring long commutes while standing can lead to tired, aching feet. If you are troubled by foot swelling and fatigue, a foot detox can offer significant relief.

Foot Detox
Nowadays, caring for the skin on your feet is just as important as caring for the skin on your face. If you wish to relieve fatigue through a foot detox without visiting a salon, the following tips can help:
Prepare Warm Water
Start by pouring warm water into a large tub. Mix in half a cup of Epsom salt and 5–6 drops of essential oil (such as lavender or tea tree oil). Alternatively, you can prepare the water using rock salt, lemon juice, and baking soda. Soak your feet in this mixture for at least 15–20 minutes. Afterward, remove your feet, pat them dry with a towel, and apply moisturizer.
Foot Mask
If you have cracked heels, you can create a foot mask using honey and coconut oil. Mix two tablespoons of honey with two tablespoons of coconut oil. Apply the mixture to your feet, leave it on for 15 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water.
Foot Scrub
To make a foot scrub, mix coffee powder, rice flour, and gram flour (besan). Use this to exfoliate dead skin from your feet, then rinse with plain water.
Moisturize
The final step is moisturizing; apply a soothing foot cream or lotion. Remember to thoroughly dry your feet—especially the areas between the toes—before applying the moisturizer.
How Often Should You Do a Foot Detox?
If you suffer from severely cracked heels, swelling, or persistent foot fatigue, performing a foot detox 2–3 times a week can be beneficial. If you cannot follow the entire process regularly, performing it once a month—and soaking your feet in lukewarm water once or twice a week—can prove effective.
