Ekadashi Tips: Worship Goddess Lakshmi on Ekadashi using this special ritual, and your safe will remain filled with wealth...

The Ekadashi falling during the *Krishna Paksha* (waning phase of the moon) in the month of *Vaishakh* is known as Varuthini Ekadashi. According to the scriptures, the spiritual merit derived from observing this Ekadashi is considered equivalent to the virtue gained from performing *Kanyadan* (giving away one's daughter in marriage) or undertaking years of rigorous penance. It is widely believed that any individual who observes the fast of Varuthini Ekadashi and performs special worship of Goddess Lakshmi alongside Lord Vishnu will not only attain happiness and good fortune but will also ensure that their household treasury never runs empty.

This year, Varuthini Ekadashi (2026) coincides with an alignment of highly auspicious *Nakshatras* (celestial constellations), which is poised to open the doors to financial prosperity. Let us explore some infallible remedies to please Goddess Lakshmi on this day, outlined as follows:

**Worship during *Brahma Muhurat***
On the day of Ekadashi, wake up before sunrise and take a ritual bath. If possible, add a small amount of *Gangajal* (holy water from the Ganges) to your bathwater. Wear clean garments, preferably in yellow or red hues, as these colors are deeply cherished by both Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu.

**Abhishekam of the *Shri Yantra* and Goddess Lakshmi**
In your home shrine (*Puja Ghar*), install an idol or image of Goddess Lakshmi alongside Lord Vishnu. On this auspicious day, perform the *Abhishekam* (ritual bathing) of a silver coin or a *Shri Yantra* using raw cow's milk mixed with *Gangajal*. Following the *Abhishekam*, apply a *Tilak* (sacred mark) made of saffron.

**Worship of *Ashtalakshmi***
In the evening, light a nine-wicked lamp (*Diya*) filled with pure cow's ghee in your home temple. Recite the *Kanakadhara Stotram* while facing Goddess Lakshmi. It is believed that reciting the *Kanakadhara Stotram* on Varuthini Ekadashi helps in recovering wealth or funds that have become stuck or overdue.

**Mantra Chanting and *Aarti***
Using a rosary (*Mala*) made of lotus seeds (*Kamalgatta*), chant the mantra "Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Shree Siddha Lakshmyai Namah" 108 times. Conclude the worship ceremony by performing the *Aarti* (ritual waving of lamps).
