Nidhi tweeted about this. In this tweet, she retweeted a post that talked about Varun being targeted on social media. In her tweet, Nidhi wrote, "Congratulations to all the anti-national people who can spend money to defame an actor playing the role of a Param Vir Chakra recipient who fought for this country. This is your film, India! Hopefully, the audience will find these people and shame them."
