The third season of the Women's Premier League will begin on Friday with a match between defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants, in which all eyes will be on India's emerging cricketers. Along with international stars, the real success of the league also depends on the performance of domestic players. In the first two seasons, players like Shreyanka Patil and Saiqa Ishak performed brilliantly under pressure and also made it to the Indian team.

Harmanpreet is very excited about the third edition.
The list of emerging Indian players is increasing in every season of WPL. Alyssa Healy, Sophie Molyneux, and Kate Cross will not play this season due to injury. Harmanpreet Kaur said before the start of the tournament that she is excited about the third edition of the Women's Premier League. She said - Being the Indian captain, I am very excited about this season because many domestic cricketers have prepared themselves for this tournament. Before the auction, we talked about how many domestic cricketers had performed well and everyone had some names in mind. We hope that they play well and the Indian team becomes stronger.
Eyes will be on Shefali Verma
Shefali Verma, who is struggling with poor form, would like to make a comeback in the national team by performing well for Delhi Capitals. The Indian team will tour England in July and the ODI World Cup is also to be held in India. Fast bowler all-rounder Keshav Gautam will also have a chance to prove herself.
These foreign players are struggling with injuries.
Two new venues Vadodara and Lucknow have been added to the tournament and it will be played in home and opponent's ground format. It will not be easy for defending champions RCB to retain the title as players like Sophie Devine, Molyneux, and Kate Cross are not playing this time. Star all-rounders Elise Parry, Shreyanka Patil and Asha Shobhana are recovering from injuries. Their ability to recover from these setbacks will prove whether they will be able to win the title or not. RCB captain Smriti Mandhana said, many players who were part of the playing eleven last time are out due to injury this time. Sophie Devine is one of the best all-rounders in the world, so her absence will be felt.
Delhi will have its eyes on the title
Two-time runner-up Delhi Capitals has been a consistent performer in the tournament and will enter the tournament with the intention of overcoming the disappointment of losing the final. It has players like Shefali Verma, Meg Lanning, Jemima Rodrigues, Annabel Sutherland and Marianne Kapp, while the bowling has veterans like Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy, Titas Sadhu and Jess Jonassen.
Gujarat and UP get new captains
First season winner Mumbai Indians failed last year due to over-reliance on Hayley Matthews, Yastika Bhatia, Harmanpreet Kaur, Nat Seward Brunt and Amelia Karr. Gujarat Giants have new captains in the form of Ashley Gardner and UP Warriors have new captains in the form of Deepti Sharma.
