Banke Bihari Darshan on New Year 2026: Vrindavan always witnesses a massive crowd during the last days of the year and the beginning of the new year. This is the time when millions of devotees visit the temple to have darshan (sight) of Shri Banke Bihari.

Like every year, a similar crowd has gathered this year as well, forcing devotees to stand in long queues for hours. Even after waiting for hours, many devotees are not getting a chance to have darshan, leaving them frustrated and uncomfortable. The heavy crowd has also put immense pressure on the areas surrounding the temple.
Devotees say that they arrived early in the morning, yet they had to wait for hours. In light of this, the temple administration has issued guidelines and made a special appeal to the public. So, if you are planning to visit Vrindavan, please read this news till the end.
People are suffering due to the crowd
According to reports, the administration in Vrindavan has taken several steps to control the crowd and ensure security at the end of the year, but the situation still seems to be out of control. Police and security agencies have been deployed, but even this arrangement is proving inadequate in the face of the huge number of devotees. The security situation becomes even more challenging, especially inside and outside the temple during prayer times.
Due to the increasing crowd in the areas surrounding the temple, the cleanliness and sanitation situation is also deteriorating. The administration has ensured that cleaning and water supply arrangements are fully functional, but maintaining these arrangements amidst the huge crowd has become a major challenge.
Temple administration appeals.
Therefore, the temple administration has appealed to devotees to postpone their visit to the temple between December 29th and January 5th. According to the temple management, the crowd is very heavy in the temple and surrounding lanes during this period, which increases security and disruption problems. This is causing considerable inconvenience to both visitors and residents

This is what people were told:
The administration also stated that elderly people, pregnant women, children, and those who are ill should avoid traveling at this time, as large crowds and long queues could be dangerous for them. Devotees were also advised to maintain social distancing and avoid crowded areas.
