During this, lakhs of devotees from all over the country go on Kanwar Yatra, in which they reach Shiva temples, Jyotirlingas, and Shivalayas by walking with Ganga water and perform Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath. During this, devotees of Bholenath also go on pilgrimage to Baba Baidyanath Dham, Kedarnath, Ujjain, and other Shiva Dhams. In such a situation, the Railways also operates special Sawan Special trains so that the devotees can get convenience in the journey.

Major Sawan Special Trains are being run by IRCTC
Mahakal Express
Mahakal Express runs from Varanasi to Ujjain. This train will reach Ujjain via Shiva's city Kashi, i.e., Varanasi Junction, via Allahabad, Kanpur, and Jhansi. This train runs on Tuesday and Thursday. A private train that runs through the IRCTC. The fare of the third AC of the train is around Rs 1340.
Kanwar Yatra Special Train
Kanwar Yatra Special Train is being run from Delhi NCR to Haridwar. This train will run every Monday of Sawan. Two Kanwar Yatra Special trains will be run from Delhi to Haridwar via Shamli from 11 to 25 July. Security and service facilities throughout the route
Shravani Mela Special Train
IRCTC is running 17 pairs of special trains for the devotees going to Deoghar in Sawan. Shravani Mela Special Train will be run, which will benefit the passengers of Bihar. Ranchi Railway Division will also run two pairs of Shravani Mela trains. In this, Ranchi-Bhagalpur-Ranchi will be run via Jasidih and Koderma. These are tri-weekly special trains which will depart every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. These trains will run from 10 July to 12 August and will provide travel facilities to the devotees.
