Every year, the festival of Mahashivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. On the day of Mahashivratri, devotees go to the Shiva temple and worship. It is believed that on the day of Mahashivratri, Lord Bholenath and Mother Parvati are very happy if Lord Bholenath is worshipped with Panchopchar or Shodshopchar method. This ends death, suffering, disease, faults, and poverty from the life of the person. But there are some mistakes which should be avoided on the day of Mahashivratri. Otherwise, the desired result of the worship is not achieved. What is that mistake, know from the Jyotishacharya of Devghar?

What does the Jyotishacharya of Devghar say:
The famous Jyotishacharya of Devghar, Pandit Nandkishore Mudgal said that this year Mahashivratri fast will be observed on 26 February. On the day of Mahashivratri, the marriage between Lord Bholenath and Mother Parvati took place, due to which this day is very special. Mahashivratri is considered to be the best day to please Lord Bholenath. On this day, if you do Jila Abhishek and offer Belpatra with Ram's name written on it, then Lord Bholenath will be pleased.
Do not make these mistakes on Mahashivratri:
Often devotees worship only Lord Bholenath on Mahashivratri. But according to the scriptures, this is wrong. On Mahashivratri, first of all, Lord Shiva's Gan and family should be worshipped like Lord Ganesha, Nandi, Bhairav, Veerbhadra, Manibhadra etc. If you do this, then only you will get the full fruit of Mahashivratri and Lord Bholenath will be pleased. Also, you will get many times the fruit of the worship. But if you worship only Lord Bholenath on Mahashivratri, then your worship will be incomplete and the blessings of Lord Bholenath may stop.
