Maha Kumbh 2025 Aakhri Snan Muhurat: The holy festival of Maha Kumbh started on January 13, and will conclude on February 26 with the last bath on Mahashivratri. During this, saints, sadhus, and devotees from all over the country took a dip of faith in the Sangam. The first Amrit Snan was completed on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on January 14. After this, the second Amrit Snan took place on Mauni Amavasya and the third on Basant Panchami. After the third bath, many saints and mahatmas left for their Akharas. At the same time, the last bath will be performed on the day of Mahashivratri. Mahakumbh closing date
After Magh Purnima, the last bath of Maha Kumbh will be on the day of Mahashivratri. This year the date of Mahashivratri will start on 26 February at 11:08 am and will end on 27 February at 8:54 am. Since Mahashivratri puja is performed at night, the fast will also be observed on 26 February and the Maha Kumbh Mela will conclude on the same day.

Auspicious time for a Maha Kumbh bath

According to the Hindu calendar, the special auspicious time for the last Maha bath is as follows:

Brahma Muhurta - from 5:09 am to 5:59 am

Morning evening - from 5:34 am to 6:49 am

Amrit Kaal - from 7:28 am to 9:00 am

Vijay Muhurta - from 2:29 pm to 3:15 pm

Godhuli Muhurta - from 6:17 pm to 6:42 pm

Method of bathing on the day of Maha Kumbh closing

Before bathing, remember Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati. While offering water, take a resolution that this bath is being done for self-purification and attainment of salvation.

Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" and "Har Har Gange" mantras during bathing and take a dip three or seven times. While offering water to the Sun, chant the mantra "Om Ghrinih Suryaya Namah".

After bathing, donate food, clothes and Dakshina to the needy. Offer water, milk, Bilva leaves and Dhatura on the Shivling.

You can also perform Rudrabhishek or chant the "Mahamrityunjaya Mantra".
