Janhvi has arrived in Cannes for her upcoming film "Homebound," and her co-actors Ishaan Khattar and Vishal Jethwa were also seen accompanying her on the red carpet. Janhvi wore a bespoke blush pink Tarun Tahiliani couture, which was handcrafted in Banaras.

A modern touch was added to this traditional lehenga, which had a combination of the veil and a structured design. Seeing this style of Janhvi, fans considered it a tribute to the late Sridevi. Filmmaker Karan Johar was also seen with Janhvi. Janhvi and Ishaan's film "Homebound" will premiere in the "Un Certain Regard" section of Cannes.
Janhvi chose a beautiful dress made by fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani for her debut, which is made of real tissue fabric. Her voluminous custom-made skirt and corset top were woven in Banaras, and the structured silhouette used a "hand-crushing technique".
This made the outfit feel light and rich. Many fans commented on social media that her stylish outfit looked like a poem composed of cloth. Janhvi was styled by Rhea Kapoor for the event.
The lehenga's soft blush-pink colour palette gave off a modern-Indian-princess feel. A matching drape flowed down her shoulder like a veil, while the pleated skirt flowed dramatically at the back, which was quite long as per the dress code of Cannes 2025.
This year, to control the crowd on the red carpet, the film festival had announced some strict rules, including a 'no nudity policy' and a rule of not wearing voluminous dresses, aimed at reducing the red carpet time to avoid crowds.

Janhvi perfected the look, wearing a layered pearl necklace, tiny earrings, and a floral garland. Her hair was styled in a sleek low bun, and her makeup was completed with light pink tones and winged eyeliner.
Janhvi's sister Khushi and rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahadia have also arrived to support her. Their photos went viral from Cannes.
