According to a report by Variety India, Alia Bhatt might be seen in the lead role in the upcoming film 'Housewife'. This film will be directed by Abhishek Pathak, who previously directed the hit film 'Drishyam 2'.

If Alia takes on this role, she will play a married woman. The story will be based on issues related to home and family life. This will be the first time Alia will be seen in such a role.

Rajkummar Rao to play the male lead!
According to the report, Rajkummar Rao might star opposite Alia in this film. However, nothing has been finalized yet. If this happens, Alia and Rajkummar will be seen together on the big screen for the first time. Filming is expected to begin in August or September 2026. Abhishek Pathak might start this film after completing the shooting of 'Drishyam 3'.

Alia and Rajkummar's Upcoming Projects
Alia Bhatt was last seen in 'Jigra'. Her upcoming films include Yash Raj's spy-universe action film 'Alpha', in which she will star alongside Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol. She is also working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Love and War' with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
